Expectation & Objectives of the role

Lead role to a management support role in mergers, acquisitions, divestment and corporate exercises 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To lead role to a management support role in mergers, acquisitions, divestment and corporate exercises:

  • Lead role in overall coordination and management of investment process including:
  • Deal sourcing;
  • Investment evaluations and recommendations;
  • Liaison with target / counter-parties;
  • Appointment and Management of advisors;
  • Overall lead and management of the due diligence process including management of all DD teams and outputs;
  • Deal negotiations;
  • Deal completion;
  • Overall responsible for business and valuation models
  • Recommendation and preparation of investment evaluation and analysis to Management and the Board of Directors
  • Lead role to a support / advisory role to management in deal structuring and deal agreements, and liaising with relevant advisors, including tax, legal, technical advisors, as the case may be to arrive at the optimal transaction structure.
  • Supervise and manage secretariat functions for the Group M&A committees (“MAC”) which shall include guiding e.Co and ADS MAC and OpCo.s in the Group investment processes.

 

Department functions:

  • Oversee management of department budgets and strategy/Board papers
  • Oversee and supervise coordination of misc. department functions.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • Professional qualification or in process of obtaining accreditation in a professional accounting body or Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) would be an advantage. 
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years working experience in a Finance or Accounting related function.  
  • Experience in an investment related function would be an added advantage 

 

Skills & Attitudes required

 

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills 
  • Strong communication – written and verbal 
  • Standard MS office skills – Word, Excel, Power-point 
  • Strong organization and coordination skills – preferable with project management / team lead experience 
  • Additional attributes: attention to details, discretion in management of confidential information
